Works by Maud Le Pladec (2016, re-creation 2025)
With Works, academic dance reaches its breaking point.
To the electrifying music of Michael Gordon, who revisits Beethoven in a whirlwind of energy, a dozen dancers from the Ballet de Lorraine seize upon the codes of classical dance only to transcend them.
Between rigor and abandon, precision and explosion, the piece charts a path toward liberated virtuosity, a collective body pushed to its limits.
