Chaos, Chaos, Chaos... is commissioned by the BIENNALE D'ART CONTEMPORAIN 2008 from Bourges. This project took place in the whole space of the Château d'Eau at Bourges (200m2), France

The old building invites us to look back, not in a nostalgic aspect but in order to place old things and memories in a new context. This way we could add new elements.

After 26 years working as an artist, the balance is made.

In Chaos, Chaos, Chaos... all the threads of Ellens work came together such as water, landscape and the manipulated photos of herself and her environment.
It showed not the linear story of the mathematician but the seemingly chaotic, topsy turvy, two-steps-forward-one-step-back inquisitive story of the artist with crooked outlines. But it is one complete story.

She asked Heleen Volman to react intuitively to my ideas and to capture these in words. Joost van Dijk made a sound scape out of the result containing a mix of voices, giggling, mumbling and laughter. Photographer and film director Sahin Sisic captured images of 19 dancing women. In Chaos, Chaos, Chaos... dancing is a metaphor for art and for life.
